The Big Dipper is my favorite constellation to spot. One of the great things about winter is being able to see the stars earlier. This bead starts with sand stone and black, then it’s decorated with silvered ivory, silver droplets, some Caribbean Sea stringer and the moon. There is a crescent on the Big Dipper side and a full moon on the other.
The specs:
Height (hole to hole): 27mm
Width: 22mm
Depth at thickest point: 12mm
Bead hole: 2.5mm
I handcraft each glass bead in my studio with a torch and immediately put it into a digitally controlled kiln to stabilize or anneal the glass. Annealing usually happens overnight.
Not made for children.
