S-7 Moon and the Stars over the Ocean
I was so happy to be able to see the stars last night. The smoke has finally cleared from San Jose. So I thought I would share this sweet little beach with the moon and the stars with you. This bead starts with the sand and the night sky, then a small line of blue for the ocean and some silvered ivory for the reflection of the stars on the water. Then night sky is peppered with stars by melting in fine silver foil. The last step is to add the moon and a few brighter stars with silver wire. I hope you will enjoy this little bead. I reminds me of being on the water at night and watching the moon come in. To make sure the back it pretty, I gave it a little wave (twist) to keep it interesting.

I handcraft each glass bead in my studio with a torch and immediately put it into a kiln to stabilize the glass. This process of cooling or annealing usually happens overnight.
Not made for children.
